Minnie

I just finished this little beaded doll last week. She's my first completely beaded doll. Minnie told me her name when she was almost finished. She is just 4 inches tall, and about one and three-quarters of an inch wide, from fingertip to fingertip. She's lavishly embellished with real freshwater pearls, a carved bone face, size 18º, 11º and 15º beads, and Swarovski crystals. She has seaweed hair, and mother-of pearl seahorse, damselfish, and starfish friends.

I had just started beading her, when a little girl came into the shop where I was waiting for a class to start. She asked me, "Oooh are you making a mermaid?!" I answered," Well, I might be!" And so it was.

It has occurred to me that I haven't been keeping track of my beadwork for a while now. I've been doing a lot of creating, and need to document it, so I'll be using StarMind to try and keep up, rather than putting it directly on my website, to see if it'll be any easier. I WANT to post every day....
